Weekend Food Shelf – Every Saturday

Every Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Proceed Foundation hosts a community food shelf at Progressive Baptist Church. This weekly outreach is designed to support individuals and families who may be experiencing food insecurity by providing fresh groceries, pantry staples, and household essentials.

Our goal is to make sure our community never has to choose between paying a bill and putting food on the table. The food shelf is open to the public, and all are welcome.

When: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Where: Progressive Baptist Church | Hosted by: Proceed Foundation

If you or someone you know could use support, please stop by. If you’d like to volunteer or donate to help keep the food shelf going strong, we’d love to connect with you.

Our Previous Programs

STEM Camp

At Proceed, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and discover their potential. Our STEAM Camp is designed to inspire students through hands-on experiences that combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics in a fun, engaging environment.

Throughout the summer, campers build robots, explore STEM challenges, create art, strengthen reading and math skills, develop leadership abilities, and experience exciting weekly field trips. More than just learning new skills, they’re building confidence, making lasting friendships, and discovering that they are capable of achieving great things.

Our goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is nurtured, and every child leaves believing in their ability to succeed.

Art Week

Art Week was a vibrant and creative summer experience where young artists explored the power of expression through multiple art forms. Each day highlighted a different discipline—Spoken Word, Visual Art, Music, and Dance (including Hip-Hop and Stepping)—allowing students to discover new talents, build confidence, and express their unique voices.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in hands-on workshops led by experienced instructors and mentors who encouraged creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. The program culminated in a final showcase, where students proudly presented what they had learned and created, celebrating their growth and artistic journey with family and community.

Art Week was more than just an art camp—it was a space for young people to connect, create, and shine.

Juneteenth Celebration

On June 19, 2025, Progressive Baptist Church hosted a vibrant Juneteenth Celebration for the St. Paul community in its parking lot. The event brought together families and neighbors to honor freedom and culture through a joyful afternoon of food, games, and prizes. Entertainment was a highlight of the day, featuring dynamic performances from the Step With Soul and Hip-Hop programs, which energized the crowd and showcased local youth talent. The celebration was made possible in partnership with Clean Water, Land & Legacy and M Health Fairview, creating a meaningful and memorable community experience.

Back to School Fair

The Progressive Baptist School & Resource Fair on Friday, August 22nd was an incredible success. Families from across St. Paul gathered for an evening filled with laughter, excitement, and community spirit. The event featured jumpy houses, a youth fashion show, raffle giveaways of laptops, cash prizes, and even free hotel stays for families.

There was music, dancing, and plenty of opportunities for families to connect and access helpful resources in preparation for the new school year. Each year, this event serves as a way to equip families with the tools and support they need while celebrating together as a community. We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners—Bridge for Youth, Department of Transportation, Minnesota Toy Library, Career Pathways, Saint Paul Public School Library, St. Paul Human Rights and Economic Support, and the Saint Paul Fire Department—for their generosity and participation. Progressive Baptist was proud to sponsor and host such a joyful and impactful event that truly brought the community together.

Black History Month Program

On February 28, Proceed Foundation proudly hosted a powerful Black History Month event at Progressive Baptist Church. The evening brought together community members of all ages for a celebration of culture, history, and education. Guests enjoyed free Soul Bowl meals as they gathered to honor the contributions of African Americans throughout history and reflect on the importance of continued progress.

One of the highlights of the evening was a moving keynote from Jessie Overton, who shared his personal journey and spoke passionately about the role of education in shaping lives and strengthening communities. His words left a lasting impression, encouraging attendees to invest in the next generation through mentorship and advocacy.

The atmosphere was filled with unity, learning, and celebration. We are grateful to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to continuing to create spaces that educate, inspire, and uplift our community.
